ざつねん【雑念】

idle [pointless, rambling] thoughts; earthly [worldly] thoughts.

●雑念が起こる[生じる] have worldly thoughts; be led into idle thoughts.

●雑念を去る[払う] put all other thoughts out of one's mind; banish [dismiss, get rid of] worldly [all other] thoughts (from one's mind); free one's mind from earthly thoughts.
